thankful indeed

that for about the tenth year in a row my two families decided to join forces and share in the thanksgiving holiday!  it sure does make the "divvying up" easier.

like last year, we traveled to the roe's steelwood cabin for thanksgiving.  honestly, i just about cant imagine it anywhere else now.  it just screams "fall" and "tradition" and "holiday."  we love it.

bennett and i drove over on wednesday in order to help with the preparations.  wednesday afternoon we borrowed some golf carts and took a ride to some familiar spots on the steelwood property.

all by myself! i am so big, and mommy's arms were doing somersaults of appreciation.
{they got a rest!}

and stephen joined us after work.
as much as i feel like i have a camera glued to my eye 100% of the time, i am apparently mistaken because i have NO pictures of the actual thanksgiving feast/festivities.  tsk tsk.  it was wonderful, relaxing, and went by too fast.

bennett helping the boys men fry turkeys. i never had a fried turkey until the roes started frying them soon after i met stephen. i have to say i DO love good ole turkey...but i dont imagine i will go back to having turkey any other way for thanksgiving :)

thankfully our holiday didnt end here.  {or at least mine and bennett's didnt}  stephen was on call so bennett and i packed up our things and headed to the hunting camp for friday night.  i only took about three pictures, but erin has a ton so when i gather those i will get to-a-postin!
