we've been busy!!

go US!
we actually did some exciting, documenting-worthy things this weekend :) or, better said, things that i actually remembered to take pictures of! and you know what pictures mean....POSTS

there have actually been a lot of monumental things going on this past week, such as:

  • suddenly, out of the blue and completely unexpected, we said goodbye to our dear friend "benney woe" last week.  we are now "bennett roe".  i know. sadness and a *tear*
  • bennett watched his first movie last night: snow white and the seven dwarfs. {i saw it on tv late one night and looked it up to record when it came on again}.  i had no idea he would actually sit through what i consider one of the more...um...slow moving disney movies.  but he loved it.  loved snow white and every time he saw her would say: "snow white SING momma!!" bc, you know, thats about all she does.  and he LOVED dopey {soap box moment: which by the way, could you even IMAGINE a movie/story being written these days with a character named that?  i have a feeling the seven dwarfs would be called the seven little people and their names would be things like "courage, resilience, strength, character, wisdom, tolerance, and obama".  and snow white wouldnt be saved by a kiss from a man but by her own inner determination to wake up and make something better of herself.  oh heavens.  i miss the un-political-ness of the "olden days." aaaand scene}  the only thing bennett didnt like was the "mean witch momma.  no watch witch.  watch snow white."  so i fast forwarded through those scary parts {which there are a lot more scary parts in that movie than i remember!!!}
  • and just tonight, for the first time in probably a YEAR, bennett ate chicken and carrots and noodles in a TOMATO SAUCE with PEAS AND CORN.  no lie.  i about did cartwheels through the kitchen.  he even knew he did something wonderful bc he cheered himself on.  "yay bennett!! yay!!"  i am one proud momma.DSC_3531 copy
  •  we used our doubles attachment on the phil and teds stroller for the first time.  my friend maribeth and i took a wonderful {and much needed!} walk to pick up her son asa from school.  the weather was perfect and my entirely-too-out-of-shape body thanked me for it.  asa and bennett both looked so comfortable and happy.DSC_3527 copy
  •  rachel and i went to pensacola a couple thursdays ago to look for some tile/stone for a client.  we stopped by homegoods where i found some thomas the train characters. {as i mentioned before}.  he is STILL playing with them non stop.  this is his favorite place to play:DSC_3534DSC_3537DSC_3538
  • ok there are a LOT more pics from this weekend so im going to split it into TWO posts. yes, i might actually do two posts within two days of each other. ;)
stay tuned!

    ps--i feel like the word verifications are always groupings of letters that could be words, and make me question my vocabulary. is "grateria" a word? Could be..
