im a big thank-you card person.
my momma taught me its what all southern girls should do.
i always write them, its just the sending part that has sometimes given me "trouble."
people around me who might be deserving of a "thank you" know this all too well : receiving a "thank you for my birthday present" sometime in may {my birthday is in march}
for bennett's birthday this year, i thought i would do something child-specific and timely {no reason to bring my two year old son down in tardy-note-sending flames with me}.
there is not much bennett roe will sit still for, but coloring is one of them. the day after his bday party we pulled out some crayons and some scrap paper and i let him go to town. he tested each color and let me know he knew what they were
"PUHpul. peeeenc. buu. reh-DAH. weah-woah. geeen. why-TAH."
being the mother that i am i immediately thought it was picaso-esque
and perfect for thank you cards
i scanned the paper into the computer then inserted it into microsoft word four times and, with the smallest margins allowed, sized them to fit on a printed sheet of cardstock.
i printed the document out
then i inserted a text box and wrote the thank you note, then copied and pasted the text box four times, fitted it in the printable area, and printed on the opposite side of the artwork papers.
cut, fill in the blanks, and send!
{you can find white 4x6 envelopes at wal-mart or target or the like}
an easy, inexpensive, personalized way to say
We got ours and immediately noticed the excellent artwork! Love it and love ya'll, La
