my girl{s}

there are two wonderful people that i was lucky enough to call roommates not too many years ago.

we all kinda just clicked immediately upon introduction...mandy and i freshman year in the dorms at auburn, and then as kd pledge sisters....kat and i {and mandy} sophmore spring break when we pick her up along with another mutual friend for the 14 hour drive down to key west. {good thing we got along, right?!?}

mandy and i lived together for 3.5 years of college, kat mandy and i for 2.5. we pretty much did everything together. we are just enough different and just enough the same.

since graduating from auburn, we have had several get-togethers a year, though not nearly enough.
this weekend we decided to meet in auburn...for the first time since we all graduated.
it was a strange feeling to make the auburn hotel and conference center our "home" for the weekend. we kept wanting to go "home" to 126 reese avenue. oh reese.

thursday night we visited bodega, a local establishment in which, back in the day, we spent some serious quality time {to say the least}.
they humored me and we ate lunch on both friday AND saturday at big blue bagel....california bagel sandwich, add turkey, 86 the cream cheese, honey wheat OR sundried tomato bagel, bagel chips, side of honey mustard. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

i STILL crave those things

i have to say one of my favorite things we did was go on a walk for a couple hours saturday. the campus has really changed since we left, but its enough the same to still feel like a home away from home. we also got to talk. and talk. and talk. {all three things we do really well}

visited some other familiar local landmarks

and then on saturday we had a nice dinner out {a nice four hour dinner to be exact} at a new restaurant zazu.

the long weekend was energizing and exhausting all at the same time.
time with my girls does me good.

love you two!
