beach bummin

another grand family weekend at the beach.

its what we do

my aunt elizabeth {libba} and uncle mike {pop - which we nixed since bennett already has a "pop"...so we called him "mike"} came down from the far away land of madison mississippi for some visiting.

we had lunch at lulu's {dont worry, tacky jacks is still there... we actually DO frequent other beach establishments at times}

and bennett got a little sweaty...

after stuffing our faces with delicious fried seafood, we congregated at the house and rested.

saturday morning the boys and i went on a little impromtu fishing trip while mimi and libba watched the munchkin. i havent been fishing in a very long time, but this trip was right up my alley...it was hazy {aka NOT hot}, the gulf was slick like glass {no waves...seriously}, we went around 15 miles out {could still see land}, and caught lotsa fish {king mackerel}.

we came in just in time for lunch and more resting.

rest is GOOD

then girly drinks and some messing with my camera settings {still trying to learn this stuff}

followed by some lounging out and about near the pool

sunday stephen and i came home for church and a good lunch with friends.

there is definitely something to be said about living this far south....and it involves 5 letters
