yes my son is wearing a polo. to many, not that big of a deal. to me, who took the "my general rule is everything should be smocked, monogrammed or appliqued until he is three" pledge (quoted from my good friend Erin Schwant's blog) before i ever had a baby boy, its a big step. girls are easy. boys, are not. i am having the hardest time finding clothes for him, that dont suggest "hi i am bennett and i am one year old going on sixteen." not to say polos and khakis suggest this, bc i think he looks incredibly edible in this little ensemble. it just all of a sudden made him look like a KID, and while i now believe i can handle it in doses....i am rummaging on ebay, etsy, and consignment shops trying to find him some more "smocked, monogrammed or appliqued" things ASAP.
in the meantime, stephen, my father, father in law, and brothers in law will all be very proud of this adjustment. and i think i may just like it myself. seriously though, how could ANYTHING look bad on this fella?
{ps. to those of you who have been waiting on the edge of your seat, stephen and i are taking dinner to jill, clark and rose tonight, so more pictures to come! and this time, i SHALL remember my memory card.}
{pps. bennett is on his third nap today....and has eaten me out of house and home. growth spurt perhaps?}

ReplyDeleteI do have to say I was/am with you on the "pretty" clothes still for little boys (thats what William calls his church clothes:)..pink shirts, etc. HOWEVER..He is THE absolute cutest thing in that light blue polo!!!!!! He should be the model for them :) seriously...how can he be any cuter..
Well...we think he is the best in WHATEVER he wears! However, you know I am with you on those precious appliques and monograms! Love the pics! Isn't he something? :-) Love ya'll, La
