Guess what?

we went to the beach this weekend!

You dont even have to know me personally to have figured that out. It seems that every post recently, on every weekend, has been about the beach! Such is the summer. Stephen and I went down Friday night and had dinner with his dad and my dad (who were both at their respective beach-places, bacheloring it) at Cosmos. Bennett ate his carrots and bed time bottle at dinner, since we were there past his bedtime, and besides some minor fussing did quite well with the change of schedule. He did have a 2 hour nap on the way there though, so that definitely helped!
My dad left the house for Mobile early Sat morning, and Stephen and I swam and relaxed at what felt like our own private resort. We realized we didnt remember the last time it was just he and I at the beach - there are usually at least 6 people (usually many more) there at a time. It was ridiculously relaxing and a refreshing change of pace. Our friends Preston and Ginger came to stay Saturday night, and we met some of our other friends, Michael and Sarah Beth, at Live Bait Two for lunch. We had a blast hanging out and Bennett was a champ! Completely just go with the flow, roll with the punches kind of a kid on Saturday and it was great!
