Baby got Bite!

I had to take B in today for the rest of his 6 month shots, and to have his cough checked out. He has been "coughing" for the past two weeks, and to me it just sounded like a new noise he liked to make (his repertoire of sounds is quickly increasing...squeals, grunts, screams, pttt noises with his tongue, and now coughs). After talking with the nurse when B was sick, she said to bring him in if he keeps the coughing up another week.
Good news though, the doctor checked him out and he is fine - doctor guesses Bennett has just learned to clear his throat and that is why he is making a coughing noise (would make sense since he has reflux).
While the doc was checking B out, B grabbed my finger and shoved it in his mouth, and what do I feel??? A tooth!! His first tooth (his bottom left) broke the surface today, as I checked this morning and there was no tooth. Already he seems so much older, that he can even have teeth. He is handling it nicely though, and besides waking up twice during the night on Friday (just went and gave him his paci both times and he went immediately back to sleep) he hasnt really exibited any symptoms! (not so sure if that whole fever and upset tummy thing is related to this??? or just coincidental??)

And another interesting chunk of news from yesterday (pun intended): Bennett weighs 18lbs 6oz!!! he was 16lbs 14oz 2 weeks ago!!! how in the heck did he do that? gain 1.5 lbs in 2 weeks, even when he lost his appetite for three days. mr chunky is expanding, and i think its all in his cheeks!
