Ok I have Mastitis. No fever anymore, take antibiotics 3x a day for 7 days, still can nurse Bennett, and I feel like normal. So not that bad?! Well, Tuesday/Tuesday night was REALLY bad, but now its all good! Thanks for the thoughts and prayers - I promise it sounds worse than it is....my only question is HOW in the world I got it....no clue!

well at least you have an answer. love you
ReplyDeleteWell glad to hear you have a diagnosis! Sad to hear it's mastitis! I think some people just get it when they are nursing ... no particular reason and nothing you could have done about it! GET WELL SOON!
ReplyDeletewell your self diagnosis was correct. i am so glad to hear you are feeling better and will get better soon with some antibiotics!
ReplyDeleteI had it twice! It is really easy for bacteria to enter when you are nursing. If you start to feel it come on again, you will know and can nip it in the bud :) Hope it doesn't last too long for you! Just keep nursing :) Love ya!
ReplyDeleteHey! I know who you are! I enjoy checking out your blog as well! Little Bennett is so cute and darling - love that header picture! Sorry about the mastitis. A few of my friends have had that but it cleared up quickly with antibiotics. Glad to have a new blogger buddy!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you're feeling better! Hang in there!
ReplyDeletei'm so glad you are on the mend! poor nat! how scary and NOT fun!
ReplyDeleteI got it when I was nursing my son and I like you, had no idea how I got it. My doc said it happens sometimes, especially if your child has a really hard "suck". Good to hear that you are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteHey Natalie,
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through the Jonas'. And I actually had Stephen in my class when I was a public speaking GTA! ;) Anyway, I had mastitis a few weeks ago and was absolutely miserable! We couldn't really pinpoint how I got it either. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you I sympathize with you and hope you feel better soon.
I have been reading some of your posts and picking up some tips (particularly on the whole bedtime schedule). My son Carter is just 6 weeks today, so I am a bit behind you but enjoy learning from your experiences. Thanks for sharing!
