What I have learned the past three weeks

Hi my name is Bennett. I am three weeks old. I like to sleep, eat, and leave Mommy sweet presents in my diaper all the time. I like to look at things, but not for long. I only stay awake for about an hour at a time, and if I am awake I really would like to be eating. I really dont like baths or being naked. My skin is quite sensitive to the temperature and I prefer to be bundled up in a blanket, especially if that blanket is in someones arms.

Here is a list of things I have learned since I was born:

1. Eating is fun, and even though I can take care of my eating in a 15 minute window, I find that drawing it out as long as possible is more fun. In order to make it last as long as possible, I pretend to fall asleep just so Mommy will rub my cheek or talk to me to wake me up. I also insist on burping every five minutes or so, just to keep Mommy on her toes.

2. I love my green Boppy Newborn Lounger. I told Mommy and Daddy about this our first night at home, and they have not forgotten. It is so cozy and really supports me and keeps me from rolling around my Pack N Play at night.

3. Being naked is not fun at all. Don't they realize that is is freezing outside? Are they walking around naked all day? I dont think so. So what makes them think I would like to? I may be cute and all, but seriously people - keep my clothes on unless the weather spikes to 70 anytime soon.

4. Tee tee-ing is neat. Its really fun when I am about to take a bath and Mommy is holding me. It is also funny to tee tee when Daddy is changing my diaper. He thinks he has it all down and puts a wipe over me, but I still get him. Im sneaky like that.

5. Mommy is always pointing things at me that flash and I really dont like it. Sometimes other people come over and team up and flash lights at me too.

6. I do not like it when Mommy drinks milk. Or eats beans. These things make my tummy hurt and I don't like to sleep when my tummy hurts. I like to cry when my tummy hurts.

7. Mommy and Daddy are suckers. All I have to do is squeak and they pick me up. I really like it when they pick me up. Daddy says I am spoiled, but I think I am just smart. What do you think?

8. My hands are so much fun. I like to have them by my face, just so I know where they are at all times. Sometimes they scratch my face, but its worth it as long as I can keep an eye on them. I also like putting them in my mouth.

9. Hiccups are annoying and I get them all the time. It really funny watching Daddy trying to help me get rid of them. He is silly.

10. There are a lot of people who like to hold me, and that makes me happy. I meet new people all the time and they all seem really nice. They talk funny to me and make funny faces. I hope they know that I am smiling on the inside, even though I have not let them in on this smile yet....it's coming - just wait.

Ok its 5:54pm and I am letting Mommy know it's time to eat. Yay!!!!!!! She heard me. :)
