Bennett's Trip to the Hunting Camp
Yes, at two weeks old, our son's first official "trip" is to the hunting camp. I guess it is in part due to the time of year, but I have a feeling Stephen would want the hunting camp to be Bennett's first "trip" regardless. We went up on Friday; truck packed to the brim with Bennett, pack n play, 15 outfits, 187 diapers (and we went through all of them save one), wipes, Boppy Newborn Lounger, blankets, camera, Steele, food, and La. (in response to comments and to clarify: 15 outfits and 187 diapers is an exaggeration - maybe I should have exaggerated the exaggeration and said 85 outfits and 487 diapers! :) )
Doc and Mimi were up there, as well as Pop and Erin and Ben. My Aunt Elizabeth and Aunt Debbie came up on Saturday for the night to meet Bennett (the hunting camp is in Linden, AL and is only a little over 2 hrs away from Jackson, MS where my aunt's live).
While everyone else hunted, Bennett and I rested and watched TV and napped (he did - I am a terrible napper, I have realized I should be practicing though). We had a lot of great food, wine, weather, and company and overall it was a great weekend! (Not exactly the relaxing type of weekend the camp usually proves to be, but I still much prefer this new type!) Pictures from the weekend:
