Last week I was in Montgomery for the day on Wednesday (the 31st). WE were supposed to have a "lunch and learn" on marketing and project management during our lunch break. Somehow, I was the last person in the conference room, and when I walked in, the first thing I noticed was cupcakes on the table. I said "Oooo cupcakes" and then looked around and saw the flowers, everyone else looking at me, and the presents. Jimmy (my boss) said "We wanted to throw you a baby shower but dont really know much about this kind of stuff." I was sooo surprised! I had no idea and definitely was NOT expecting anything! They were pretty proud of themselves for keeping it a secret and having a successful surprise (those are hard to come by around our office).
We had the shower - which consisted of one guy I work with trying to get everyone to sing "happy baby shower to you, happy baby shower to you..." (it didnt catch), me opening presents, and then explaining to everyone what the presents were. Let me remind you that I work with ALL GUYS - except for Elizabeth who does marketing for the firm and the two ladies at the front desk. (Thank you Elizabeth for all your work on this! :) ) Then we ate lunch and continued on with our Lunch and Learn. It was such a surprise and meant so much to me! They were all so generous and it was great fun to receive all of those necessity type things for the first time!

They gave me the Summer Video Monitor, Fisher Price bathtub, turtle towel and slippers, fleece blanket, pack of three receiving blankets, and the Fisher Price Peek-a-Boo Piano!

Me and Heidi Lee -LOVE her!-(she is a principal accountant at Jackson Thornton in Montgomery, a firm that I did all the interior renovations for over the past couple years) with the precious yellow chenille teddy bear she gave Bennett (that one of the guys thought looked like cheese??)

How fabulous!! You got some great stuff! As you know, the video monitor is the best baby product in the world (in my opinion) ... and I love that it is by the brand Summer. :) And B loves his Peekaboo Piano. What nice co-workers you have! Little Bennett is going to be all set!
