10 Questions (or 10 ways to procrastinate from doing anything else remotely productive at 7:15 in the morning)

I have been tagged by Summer, so here are my answers to the following 10 questions:

1. What were you doing 10 years ago?
September 1997 ... I was still a baby. Starting my sophomore year in high school. I had actually just started dating my first serious high school boyfriend, who was a senior at our rival high school. I dont think I knew what I was doing! Good times.

2. What were you doing 5 years ago?
September 2002 ... Starting my Junior year in college at Auburn. Crazy year, one of my favorites. Mandy and I were living on Reese Avenue, Kat soon moved in, Stephen was still at Auburn, and we were having a blast. I was into my first real year of Interior Design after changing my major from pre-med. After having to miss several sorority date parties and outings with friends due to INDS projects, I was asking myself why I did such a thing and that studying Organic Chemistry sounded pretty good right about now. Stephen and I had been dating for 3.5 years, and he was living on Wire Road. I miss those cookouts over there! Football season and hating sitting in the student section - never understood why I had to get so dressed up to go sweat in a mob of drunk, sweaty, and sometimes angry college kids. But the game itself was fun! Oh to go back....

3. What were you Doing 1 year ago?
September 2006 ... I was reading Summer's website about Blake (loved it!) and secretly counting down the months until Stephen and I would start a family. I was planning our "last hurrah" trip to Italy. I think it was right around this time last year that we decided thats where we were going instead of Napa Valley CA again. I was on cloud nine. I was sitting in the same exact chair at the same exact desk in the same exact room that I am at this exact moment. So, a year later, Stephen and I are doing the same exact thing, except for our little Bennett! What a GREAT year!

4. What did you do yesterday?
Went to Sunday School and Church; Stephen actually got to go even though he was on call (yay). Stephen and I went to McAlister's for lunch (it was a craving, and Stephen took me even though he has just gone there on Friday). Came home, studied for my exams for several hours, then Stephen and I went to Lowes and WalMart to get pine straw for the flower beds and food for dinner. When we came home there was a cute little dog - mutt - who looked like she just gave birth or had recently given birth and then lost tons of weight. I called all the animal rescue places, all of which were closed. Stephen fed her and she decided to hang around the rest of the day (she was still in our carport this morning, the Animal Rescue people are coming today to pick her up...so sad). We cleaned the house and I cooked dinner. We then watched TV and went to bed around 9:30! Good Sunday.

5. Snacks I enjoy ...
Pretzels and hummus, apples, bananas (now that I am clear out of first trimester), any type of chips and dip, pita chips, wheat bagels in the toaster oven, with marinara sauce on them (a la Julianne), Cookie Cake (ditto Summer! - except I think I could make a meal out of it!), cereal

6. Things I would do with $100 million dollars ...
- money to the church
- Build and furnish our dream home after paying off everything having to do with this one :)
- Set money aside for all our (future) children's education
- travel travel travel
- buy some land (with a lake) and build a house on it
- build a house in Napa Valley or somewhere around Mendocino, CA
- buy everything needed for Bennett!
- Shop and buy great clothes....wait, have Bennett and then use the money to buy some new clothes after I get a personal trainer to get me back in to pre-baby shape.
- Build Steele a doggy dream home so he can always get out of the rain. He may be a 'water dog' but I dont think any animal enjoys getting rained on. Thats just me.
- buy Stephen all the boy toy things he could ever dream of having...pretty much buy him the Cabelas Catalogue,
- share some mula with friends and family,
- take Candice out to lunch and tie her hands down so she will let me pay (Im going to do that next time anyway, even without the 100 million dollars - so watch out)

7. Locations I would run to ...
run to? I havent run since end of first trimester, and even when I did I just ran around, never to somewhere in particular. Dont get this question?

8. Bad habits I have ...
Over analyze, can talk a lot if you get me started on controversial topics, bite at my cuticles, can be a little cluttered but I'm (we're) trying to mend this habit, always start sentences (to Stephen) with: "Do you want to hear/know something cool/neat/crazy/weird", say whats on my mind (maybe too much).

9. Things I like to do:
- Be with Stephen, just the two of us (which I dont think we really have been able to do in months!!! Im ready for this NCIDQ exam to be OVER WITH!!!) Of course when there are three of us, I can imagine I will love being with both my boys, just the three of us! :)
- Bunko with the best group of girl friends!!
- go to Auburn football games and reminisce over great college days
- Mandy, Kat and my 'weekends' that we have every few months...I think we are due for one soon?
- run, but that has been placed aside for the time being
- laugh with Stephen, dance in the car with Stephen, generally be ridiculous around him until he laughs. Its way worth making a fool out of myself to hear his laugh
- cook, and of course EAT
- go to Steelwood, the beach, the hunting camp during their respective seasons
- listen to music - the kind that makes me tell everyone else with me to "be quiet and listen to the words/music" bc I think its so great. I am a weird music freak
- draw/paint/make things when I have time...which I will once this freakin test is over and done with!!!!!!!
- daydream about holding Bennett, seeing Bennett, kissing Benentt, hearing Bennett, getting my next ultrasound, etc etc
- travel!!!!! I love packing bc it means I am about to go somewhere fun! (usually)
- taking/looking at pictures
- have friends over to our house on weekends for cookouts, which we haven't done in a very long time!!

10. Biggest joy of the moment:
Being pregnant!!! love love love love it. I think I am one of those annoying ridiculously happy people right now (when you ask me about being pregnant - not when you ask me about work/NCIDQ exam). Feeling Bennett move. I still say "look Stephen he's moving" every time, even though he has been a crazily moving boy for about 8 weeks now. It will never get old or 'normal.'

Hmmm I only have a couple people to Tag, so Erin, Lauren, and Katy YOURE IT

  3. That was fun Nat! Ok so #1 made me laugh really hard, I remember that season well! I smiled really big at all of your daydreaming about Bennett, I remember doing MUCH of the same this time last year. No matter how wonderful you imagine him to be he'll be better!
