Bennett
Bennett is a name we discussed months ago, before we even told everyone about the new baby-in-tow and way before we knew "it" was even a boy. Since then, we seemed to have forgotten about it....possibly bc it is not a very common name and is not present in our "100,001 Baby Names" book (a fact that makes Stephen love the name even more!!). We had just decided that "Taylor" was out, when we heard in passing of someone's last name being Bennett and the little light bulb just went off in our heads and we just knew. We were reminded of the name we thought of so many months ago, and it was the first time we both just looked at each other and said "yes." We have been trying it on for size over the past few weeks; referring to him as Bennett instead of 'the baby,' calling him Bennett to family, pretty much saying it as much as we can. And we love it! So Bennett it is!! :)

Michael
Michael is a family name on both sides (my dad's middle name, and Stephen's brother's name). It is just such a great strong name and, as common as it may be, it is one of my favorites.

Roe

So, Bennett Michael Roe is happy and moving a ton and I think overall pretty pleased that we have finally given him a name!

(What happened to Taylor you ask? Well Taylor seems to indicate GIRL, as Stephen and I have learned over the past few months, and we just do not feel comfortable giving our son a name that ranks as follows: While Taylor ranks 224th in popularity in the US as a Boys name, it ranks 24th in popularity as a Girls name. We also seem to have been bombarded by girls named Taylor recently, not to mention my mom found a girl in the paper in Mobile who goes to our old high school whose name is "Taylor Roe." No kidding. Just doesnt work for us....)
