So much to say!!!!!

Well everyone, as most of you may know by now (I feel like I have been talking for the last 6 hours straight!) "Baby Roe" shall now officially be known as......

BABY BOY ROE!!!!! :)

We are compeltely beside ourselves with excitement. Yes I have already been to Babies 'R' Us and pretty much bought the place out. I guess its OK since I havent bought a single thing previously!

I do have to apologize to all of you out there who did not get the update on the change in Ultrasound appointment time. I have been out of town since Wednesday of last week for all sorts of reasons: to Atlanta with Stephen for his meeting Wednesday-Thursday(I worked out of the Hotel room), to the beach for the weekend, then to Montgomery to work for Monday-Tuesday. And here we are today. My first chance to update the blog!

I am mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted at the moment (but in an incredibly ecstatic and elated way...if that makes any sense). We have been on an emotional high all morning.

Today was the anatomy scan, and our little BOY (I love saying it) did great! He was extremely cooperative, moving when and where he needed to to make sure all his parts were seen in full view. :) It was so amazing to actually see him moving in real time, during the ultrasound. I have been feeling him every day since Saturday of this past weekend, and it truely is amazing. Very faint and very gentle, but it honestly feels like exactly what it is: a tiny baby gently pressing on the inside of my tummy. I absolutely love it.

When it comes to percentiles, etc, he ranks as follows (to the best my memory can afford me right now, I seen to be having trouble thinking straight today!!!):
-Width of head = 92% (meaning only about 8% of babys at this stage have heads wider than him!!!)
-Circumference of head = 74%
-Length of Femur (in leg) = 57%
-Belly Circumference = 68%
-Brain size = 96%

He also is 'estimated' to weigh approximately 10 ounces at this time, which puts him about 6 days ahead of 'schedule.' His due date is still January 15th, but his measurements suggest January 9th (Uncle Michael's Bday!!!). The average baby weighs about 8-9 ounces at week 18, so he looks like he will be a bigger baby! The size of that head of his slightly concerns me............
