10 weeks and the word is out!

We (finally!) told our families this weekend. Saturday night we had my entire family, including my Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Mike who were in town visiting for the night, over to our house to cook out for Father's Day. Stephen took a picture of the 5 of us (my mom, dad, sisters and I) and said "say cheese." Then on the second picture he said "Say Natalie and Stephen and having a baby!" They all laughed and didnt believe us until we said "we aren't kidding," then Stephen snapped the picture! Stephen passed around the Ultrasound pictures and I think everyone definitely believed us then! We all couldn't stop smiling (and crying in some cases!) :).

This picture is right before we told them (the pic we have of after we told them isnt very different from this one, since they did not believe us at first!)

We had lunch with Stephen's dad and brothers the next day for Father's Day. Laura was at church, knee deep helping with Spring Hill Baptist's annual Choir Tour, and was not able to be there. After lunch, I got the four boys together and took their picture, repeating the same thing we said for the Setzler's. We again had to say "we aren't kidding" before they really believed us. Michael said he had a feeling this was going to be coming soon, but they were all still surprised and excited. We tried to figure out a time where we could see Stephen's mom before she left for Choir Tour on Wednesday, but it really didn't seem like it was going to work out. So we called her on the way home from lunch, and told her that on or around Janurary 15th, she was going to be a grandmother. We both hated to tell her on the phone, but it was just the way everything worked out.

The pic is a little blurry but I was a little excited so its just the nature of the moment....

Now the word is out, and I can't tell you what a relief that is! We can't wait and are so lucky to be surrounded by so many wonderful people - family and friends - who love and care for us and our new little baby - to - be :)
