...and barely even noticed we were gone.
the past few times we have left him for any amount of time longer than one night {which isnt often} he has come back with a big chip on his shoulder - at least towards me. when we go to pick him up, he will run to stephen with open arms. with me, however, he will run to me like normal, but somewhere mid stride he will remember that he is mad at me for leaving him and change directions and run somewhere else. and if i do {heaven forbid} pick him up, he will refuse to look at me or even acknowledge that i am holding him. interesting...
this time, however, he was fully entertained and happy and i bet could have stayed with stephen's parents for another week. {haha dont worry la and pop, we wouldnt do that to you}

picking out la's shoes {the boy has a thing for shoes. im not worried about it because he is two}. he insisted that la {or YAH as bennett calls her} should wear her red and white polka dotted shoes with the orange shirt. {another reason im not worried... :) }
he looks like he is measuring her up and making sure he is happy with his "work" ! HA!

ReplyDeleteYes, we had a great time! He is so good.....and BUSY! I think he will be a tire man when he goes to work (a future Big Ten man?) because he is enthralled with wheels of any kind on anything! And SHOES! So funny...we spent a lot of time daily deciding which shoes he should change into from the Elmo slippers (always the first choice)! Hahahah! Love ya'll, La

ReplyDeleteI'm glad to know I am not the only one who deals with a son who punishes him mommy for being gone. I went out of town last week for 4 days, and Carter has been giving me a hard time ever since! He only wants Daddy, and when my mom was here helping out, only her. He is making me feel very very guilty. :)
