a very Good Friday

bennett and i decided {last minute} to head up to the kennemer's farm {my sister's husband's family's farm...got that?} for thursday night. stephen had a work dinner thing and a really busy day friday, so we packed up and headed to the farm.

note to self {and all other parents out there}: traveling around baby's bedtime is not the best idea. there are only so many wheels on the bus and there are only so many animals that make mimic-able noises. lets just say i was one "oink oink" away from losing my voice. and the back of my car was littered with {not only a baby and a big black dog - who was sitting on top of a big white sheet so as not to get my car dirty - ha} food, milk, toys, dog hair, paci(s), mama hair, blood and tears.

i had a nice quick visit with erin and ben before crawling into bed and reading tons of rot-your-brain celerity magazines a la erin. i look forward to seeing erin like this so that i can read junk magazines. that sister of mine is a walking E! News. she will also synop-size any reality tv show for you if you miss an episode. {just FYI}

the ride back friday morning was wonderful - an hour long quiet drive whilst my cherubic 15 month old slept the entire way home. i left my insanely dirty black lab with erin and ben who graciously brought him home for me later that day. i drove straight to lunch with friends and babies and BABY did we have a crowd. we love going to my friend's restaurant {Camille's} and using the back meeting room. we can walk around and be loud and let the babies be free without worrying about other customers. it is quite the circus but we love it.

hollin, meryl and bennett

all the mommies and babies: ann lee and hollin, me and bennett, jacqueline and meryl, jill and rose, maribeth and asa {if you only knew how many pictures we took.....}

after lunch, a couple friends {plus a sister} of mine accompanied me to the museum of art to see the Illuminating the Word exhibit. {bday gift from the inlaws - and i dont know why but it feels weird to call them that!!}
it was such a wonderfully poignant way to spend our Good Friday afternoon!
