Anybody got any good ideas on what to buy a one year old? We've got a double whammy this time of year - Christmas AND Birthday! At least he is too little right now to really notice, but we've got some shopping to do!
Thanks in advance for any of your ideas.

ok I know you saw my list on my blog so that's prob my greatest contribution but here are a few more:
ReplyDeletejack loves those big chunky leggos, he has a wagon of them on the porch and thinks they are great.
i found this site the other day and love lots of the toys on here:

the little bug band of musical instruments (i think it is made by parents?) from target is great. pretty much all toys from parents and iplay that we have a great.
oh and tunnels are fun too! ok thats all for now...can you tell i LOVE toys almost as much as baby clothes!
We bought Sipsey a Playskool Walk N Ride and a Fisher Price activity table for birthday and Christmas. Bennett already has the activity table as I've seen in pics. We should've gotten these earlier but better late than never. Good luck! Thanks for the camera info!
ReplyDeleteHey Natalie- I'm a friend of Summer's and am in your same boat with our son Wright turning one in Jan. We got him a Parents "baby's first remote control car" a while back (from Target)- it just has one big button on the remote. He loves to chase it all around the house, and this week learned how to hit the button (I have a video clip on our blog, the look on his face is priceless). Good inside and outside toy. Also a favorite of my husband, who still thinks he's a child :).
ReplyDeletejack loves that remote control car too!
ReplyDeleteSimms is getting the bug band by Parents for Christmas. I agree that their stuff is so cute and the bugs are adorable! She got the grocery cart walker for her birthday and loves to take the food in and out of it! She pushes it everywhere. Also, don't know how you feel about boys and dolls, but Simms and my nephew Bennett are both getting the 25th anniversary Cabbage Patch Kid dolls. Target has them and it is fun to try to find one that looks like them! Hope this helps!
ReplyDeleteHi Natalie, This is Jessica Payne (Liz Murphy Saunders older sister). Luke is also getting a Cabbage Patch Doll this year- maybe more for me b/c of the whole 25th anniversary thing, but he also LOVES this push and ride red car. He is 18 months now and still likes to push/ ride it all over the house. It has a car hood in the front and he puts all kinds of things in it. We even found the remote control in it one night! We are actually TRYING not to get Luke TOO much because he will be getting SO much from our family, but it's so hard not to! Hope this helps :)
ReplyDeleteOk ... here are some things Blake loved at 1 year ...
ReplyDelete-Push/riding toys (the more buttons, music, noise, lights the better!)
-Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Learning Home
-Golf clubs & baseball bats (play ones of course)
-Wind-up bath toys from PBKids
-Laugh & Learn lawn mower (SO ANNOYING, but he LOOOOVES it and loves to push it while Justin mows the yard)
-Fisher Price alphabet Peek-A-Blocks (bought ours at Target)
I will let you know if I think of anything else!!!
One more thing...my mom got Sipsey the Anywhere Chair from PBK for her birthday (or Christmas). I think she might also get her a car that you can ride in but the parents can push you in also. I have no idea who makes it (maybe little tikes?) but they have a red one for boys and a pink one for girls. Another popular thing for boys seems to be a radio flier wagon.
ReplyDeletea small plastic slide is great! you can use it outside or bring it in on bad weather days so he can play on it inside! we loved ours!!! I think it was by The First Years and cost about $75.
