Sooo my sister Erin has been doing this for awhile, and she got the idea off of a blog she had been following (eh hem - stalking). I now read the blog too, and I'm sure many of you have been following along as well. If not, you should!!! http://www.mycharmingkids.net/ Anyway, Erin has asked me to do it, and I honestly just haven't remembered until today!! (And yes today is almost over...) Without further adieu, I present to you
No matter what you have heard,
I definitely did not eat homemade chocolate chip pound cake nearly every morning for a "breakfast dessert" the past five days, bc what is a "breakfast dessert" anyway? And I absolutely did not have it for my lunch dessert OR my dinner dessert every single day either. How fat-kid would that be?
I also did not find my son eating an old goldfish off the floor earlier (that hadn't been there since Friday) and then I definitely did not just sit and watch him do it, bc I was too busy eating my breakfast chocolate chip pound cake. That would have been irresponsible, and honestly quite gross.
This morning I honestly did not hear Bennett on the monitor, awake and fussing at 6:30am. I then would have never turned the monitor to silent and doze off for around 20 minutes, just to wake and find him still walking around his crib, awake and fussing. Nope, not me. That would be just plain lazy.
I didn't open the third toy purchased from Toys R Us in the week, let Bennett look/play with it for ten minutes or so, then just re-box it for return like all the others because he didn't seem that interested in it. I am definitely not someone who has a serious habit of returning almost half my total purchases of anything. I never leave the tags on clothes until I walk out the door just in case I decide I don't like it anymore. Not me, because that may be characterized as fickle. I also don't ever get a rush when I return things and get my money back on my credit card. Bc that my friend would be disillusioned and honestly a little cheap!
And last but definitely not least, my ten month old did NOT decide that today was the day he would finally decide to crawl. Nope, not today. Because we had already decided that this child would just go straight to walking. So by all means Bennett did NOT CRAWL ACROSS THE FLOOR like he was a pro today. NOPE, NOT HIM!!!
I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only one who does NOT turn off the baby monitor to get a couple more winks!
ReplyDeleteYou are hilarious! I have NEVER ignored my nephew once or twice for a couple minutes in hopes that he would doze back off. Why would I do such a thing?!
ReplyDeletewait....he crawled??? YAY!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWHOAAAAAAAAAA I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!! first because he CRAWLED and second because you did not me monday!!! YAY, i am so ridiculously far behind on blogging, but i promise ill get back to not me monday one day!
ReplyDeleteThank goodness I'm in good company with NOT turning off the baby monitor for 'just 5 more minutes'!
