What a sleeper!

I am so proud of my little B! For the past week he has been sleeping from 8pm to 6am! and the past few mornings he has been slowly creeping that 6am wake up time towards 7am! This morning I woke up at 6:15, to my surprise not from a crying baby. I clicked the monitor, and did not see him. I turned up the volume to see if I could hear him (thinking he probably scooted down to the end of the crib - he is SUCH the scooter), but I could not. So I thought Stephen must have heard him wake up and gotten him up, so I got up and walked into the kitchen, where Stephen was reading the paper before heading in to work. No Bennett! Stephen said he was fast asleep and hadn't heard a peep out of him! I went into his room to, yes, find him all the way down at the end of his crib, with the top half of him still swaddled in his swaddling blanket (but with his hands free to be up at his face - this is a MUST) and the bottom half of him bare as can be and laid out with knees spread out on either side (he usually sleeps in footy pajamas, but those were all in the dryer last night so he slept in a day gown). It was so cute and I wished I had my camera, but alas did not. So I went back to bed - JK when Im up Im up - so I ate my bfast. He didn't begin stirring until 6:45am and I am so VERY proud of my good sleeper! Lets now just pray we keep up the good work!

Oh and as naps go, he is really good at them until the late afternoon time, when he fights it a bit more. Stephen has the hardest time understanding why babies, or at least our baby, fight to go to sleep...he thinks: if you are tired, just close your eyes and fall asleep! I have to say I agree with him, but it is what it is!

  1. Justin says the EXACT same thing about babies and sleep! Blake has always fought naps. SUCH great news about Bennett's nighttime sleep! Wow! You might not even have to do the Cry-It-Out thing!!
