On Friday I turned the big 2-6...the age my mom said she was when she felt over the hill. I always thought that was funny, and I honestly still do, as this bday was just another year older! The actual DAY though, was quite amazing.
Both of my moms (momma and Laura - Stephen's mom) took me over the Bay to The Grand Hotel Spa for a wonderful 50minute massage and lunch! It was the BEST massage EVER. So very thoughtful and relaxing and perfect for a new mommy. I haven't been to the Grand Hotel in ages (since high school). I had forgotten how beautiful it was. All the azaleas were in bloom, and it was gorgeous. Bennett and I will definitely have to make our way back when he is bigger and can really look around at all the pretty flowers and fountains!
Thank you, my two moms, for a wonderful fantastic very memorable 26th birthday! (and thank you so much for volunteering to babysit the little stinker while mommy enjoyed her spa day :) )
the sun was a little bright in B's eyes! but look at those flowers!!!!

ReplyDeleteHAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!! I thought of you on Friday ... so sorry I never called ... I totally meant to but we were scrambling around like crazy people getting ready for Blake's big party. Excuses, excuses. It sounds like you had a fabulous day though. 26 was a great year for me ... I hope it is fabulous for you!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday a few days late. My husband, Adam, shares the same birthday as you. Glad you were able to get out of the house and get a massage. I agree that every new mommy deserves a day or pampering.
